The protesting farmers in Jalandhar reportedly stopped an Army convoy on Monday, September 27, during the Bharat Bandh. The incident happened near PAP-Rama Mandi National Highway and it took around 30 minutes for the convoy to cross the blockade. After they showed relevant documents to the farmers, they let them go.
As per the reports, the incident happened around 7 am. The convoy was coming from Amritsar and was going towards Rohtak. There were over a dozen Army trucks and a Jeep in the convoy. One of the officers from the convoy talked to the farmers and persuaded them to remove the barricades.
As per the reports, Bhartiya Kisan Union (Rajewal) activists initially refused to let the convoy go. But later, they allowed them to pass through.
