On Friday, around 200 artillery shells were recovered in Ambala. As per the reports, these artillery shells were kept in sacks near Mangalore’s forest area in Ambala.
According to the reports, the Superintendent of Police Jashandeep Singh got the information about some unidentified bomb-like objects kept near Mangalore’s forest area. All of these artillery shells were recovered near the Shahzadpur area in Ambala.
Jashandeep Singh reportedly said, “The police reached the spot. After proper examination, it was found that these are artillery shells were used by military forces.”
Further, he informed that there were 232 artillery shells of different shapes and sizes. Later, the bomb disposal teams were called and the recovered shells were properly disposed off.
“Under the Explosives Act, an FIR has been registered. The markings will be checked to ascertain to which unit these artillery shells were supplied,” SP added.
