AICC leader Rahul Gandhi today addressed a rally in Rajpura and made some strong statements against former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.
Rahul Gandhi said that what Charanjit Singh Channi did in four months, Captain Amarinder Singh failed to do it in his entire tenure.
Captain Amarinder Singh stepped down from his post of Chief Minister last year in September. Later, Charanjit Singh Channi was made the Chief Minister of Punjab. In his tenure of 4 months, Charanjit Singh Channi gained popularity. On February 6, Charanjit Singh Channi was chosen the Chief Minister candidate for the upcoming Assembly Polls.
“Only Congress can maintain peace in Punjab”
Rahul Gandhi said that only Congress can maintain peace in Punjab and there was no need for an experiment in the state. Further, Rahul Gandhi said peace and security are very important in Punjab. He said, “The whole nation will suffer if peace and security are not maintained in Punjab.”
