Finally, after witnessing a downfall in the coronavirus numbers in Punjab, the schools for all the classes will reopen now. According to the new coronavirus guidelines issued by the state administration, all the schools, colleges, universities and educational institutes are now allowed to conduct offline classes.
However, the students will still have the option to opt for the online medium, the orders read.
The new orders issued by the Punjab administration will remain in force till February 25.
Also, the schools will encourage students above 15 years old, to get the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
When it comes to gatherings, only 50 percent of the capacity of the venue would be allowed.
The cinema halls, bars, restaurants, malls, spas, gyms, sports complexes, museums, zoos etc. will function at 75 percent of its total capacity.
No mask, no service
The orders issued by the Punjab administration states that no service shall be provided in the government and private offices to those not wearing masks.
Persons with disabilities and pregnant women would be exempted to visit offices but would have to work from home.
