Ludhiana, February 3
Former Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Sunil Jakhar is in support of Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi as the party is conducting a survey to announce its CM face ahead of 2022 Assembly elections.
Sunil Jakhar reportedly said that Charanjit Singh Channi should be given some time so that he continue working.
“What party decides, is accepted by all. But in my opinion, Channi Ji has been given the opportunity, he should be given time so that he continues working. People have seen his good work in four months,” Jakhar reportedly told ANI.
Earlier, Sunil Jakhar revealed that he got more votes from the MLAs than Navjot Sidhu and Charanjit Singh Channi, when Captain Amarinder Singh stepped down from his Chief Minister’s post. Congress will announce its CM face ahead of the Assembly elections, on February 6.
Rahul Gandhi has said the party workers will take the decision regarding the CM’s face of Punjab.
