Ludhiana, November 16
As many as 12 GPS devices were found in the vehicles of the Punjab taxation department in Ludhiana on November 16.
According to the reports, out of the 12 devices found, nine were installed in four vehicles of Ludhiana’s mobile wing office. The other three were found in the vehicles of Jalandhar (2) and Patiala (1) mobile wing office.
Additional Commissioner of State Tax-1, Sagar Setia reportedly said, “A complaint in this regard has been filed with the Ludhiana cyber cell. SIM cards are used in the GPS devices and the people on whose names the SIM cards are registered, are being traced. Once this information is found, FIR will be registered against the culprits.”
It is to be noted that the Income Tax Department raided the residence and office of Shiromani Akali Dal leader Manpreet Singh Ayali.
