The Chandigarh administration has once again made wearing masks compulsory for the public. According to the new orders issued by the URT administration, every violation of non-wearing of masks shall be punishable by imposing a fine of Rs. 500.

The Chandigarh administration has made it compulsory for the people to wear masks in a closed environment like public transport including buses, taxis, auto-rickshaw, cinema halls, departmental stores etc.

Other than that, it would also be compulsory for the public to wear masks in schools, colleges, coaching centres, and libraries. In all the private and the government offices, indoor and outdoor gatherings, wearing masks is now compulsory in the state capital Chandigarh.
