LUDHIANA: Police booked residents who threw sewage water in the councillor’s office

Ludhiana, April 7

The police have registered a criminal case against those who threw sewage water in the office of Congress councillor Priya Kaida on Tuesday afternoon.  Priya Kaida is the councillor of ward 47. In her office in the Abdullapur Basti area, the agitated residents threw sewage water as they were angry with the councillor’s work in the area

The matter has been registered on the statement of the PA of the councillor Priya Kaida. The PA told the police that the protesters threw sewage water into the councillors’ office. Other than that, he alleged that the stamp pads and letterheads have also been stolen from the office.

Police have registered a criminal case against Dharminder Singh alias Neeta, Ramandeep Singh Sonu, Bholu, Rikki, and residents of Manjeet Nagar in Ludhiana.

The case has been registered under sections 380, 451, 427, 148, 160 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. According to the investigating officer of the case, ASI Kulwant Singh, efforts have been started to arrest the accused.
