Ludhiana, March 30
Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia claimed that CM Arvind Kejriwal’s residence was attacked by “BJP goons” on Wednesday, March 30. Manish Sisodia claimed the security barriers and the CCTV cameras of Arvind Kejriwal’s home were vandalised.
He also claimed that the Delhi police did not do anything to stop the miscreants. Several senior leaders of Aam Aadmi Party, including Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chaddha have also condemned the incident.
A video has also been shared on the official Twitter handle of Aam Aadmi Party.
In the tweet, Aam Aadmi Party claimed that BJP was stunned by AAP’s win in Punjab and in collaboration with Delhi police, it had now done a deadly attack on Arvind Kejriwal.
“BJP fears that only Arvind Kejriwal can compete with Narendra Modi. That is why, they want to kill him,” the tweet read.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also took to Twitter and wrote:
“The anger of the BJP is clearly visible due to the crushing defeat at the hands of the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab. The attack on Chief Minister Delhi @arvindkejriwal Ji’s house in the presence of police is a cowardly act. Now it is clear that BJP is only afraid of AAP and Arvind Kejriwal.”
Soon after the incident, Delhi police came up with a statement. DCP (Delhi North) Sagar Singh Kalsi reportedly said that around 1 pm on March 30, some protestors created ruckus and broke the barricades at the Chief Minister’s residence. Around 70 protestors were detained.
Last week, Arvind Kejriwal’s statement on the movie “The Kashmir Files” had sparked a row all across the country. The opposition has also slammed him for his remarks.
He had accused the Bhartiya Janta Party of promoting “The Kashmir Files” as several BJP ruled states have made the movie tax-free. Arvind Kejriwal had asked the makers of the movie to upload it on YouTube.
